The Atlas of Eadaė

All the world is a jewel, and its many facets reflect a wide and varied geology with a history as long and remarkable as our own world.  This geology has been shaped by the billions of years of planetary evolution, as well as the far younger (but yet ancient on a Human scale) forces of Power.  Here are selected examples of that geology, and the wonders that they hold.

World Map

The world of Eadaė is a globe, as any other world, and there are regions beyond the Two Continents undreamt of, but real nonetheless.  Please note that this map is somewhat outdated, although in a general sense it is still fairly accurate.  Also, this map is located on a Geocities web site of mine, so you may have to cut and paste the URL into your browser window.  Last Updated January 2, 2005

The Elder Age

The Eolin Age

Baėlwinn Ocean:  The ocean east of Ansend.  Throughout this age, however, very few beings sail upon its often stormy waters.  Only the People of the mother, a primitive people, travel upon it, but they rarely move beyond the sight of land, nor do they move much beyond the coastal regions of their lands.  The Baėlwinn is noted as being quite stormy, especially along the northern coasts of Ansend, coasts that are typically quite rocky.  It is also fairly cold, but supports a great diversity of fish in great numbers.
Ithingwė:  Where the Enkidai dwelt.  This was the y'Asalla name for the region, although the Enkidai called it Ūrik, the First Home.  This was where those Men most beloved of Obroė dwelt, in the most eastern lands of Ansend, just south of the People of the Mother.  It was a region of lush forests and green meadows, but which could still know the bite of winter.  There were many rivers, all of which teemed with fish, and the lands were thick with game.  In short, this was a land truly blessed by the gods, and geared towards the comfort and prosperity of the Enkidai.
Ūrik, the First Home:  Early Enkidai name for Ithingwė.
Gilgamad:  Meaning the Burning Heights, this is the Enkidai name for a Yaurdwali stronghold city MaereAnya.
MaereAnya:  A Yaurdwali city, built in northeastern Ansend.
Sķn Lancris:  Named after the tribe of Yaurdwali that dwelt along its shores, the great inland lake now known as the Synlan Sea.
Rhingwė Uplands:
A range of northeastern mountain in Ansend, over looking the polar ocean.

The Ūriad Age

  • Athantwė:  The y'Asalla name for Kethel Dun.
  • Cor Gritūl:  A range of mountains reaching out from Harod Godel, populated by a race of trollkin.
  • Enkadu Dagol:  The name Men gave to Lingis Annwin.  It means Valley of Temptation.
  • Ethir River:  At the mouth of this river, Kre-Dura was built.
  • Harod Godel:  The Ūriad name for the Rhingwė Uplands.
  • Katuy'uk:  An Ūriad city built further up the Ethir River.
  • Kethel Dūn:  A great southern forest of Ūriad.
  • Kre-Dura:  The capitol of Ūriad, and marked by having three surrounding walls.
  • Kūrik Lakus:  Meaning the Black Sea, the name of the Synlan Sea by those of Ūriad.
  • Lingis Annwin:  A valley in which the Hethyr Aewylin dwelt.
  • Mūdul Tek:  An Ūriad city built in the south of that nation.
  • Tūkul Dor:  An Ūriad city built on the southern slopes of the Harod Godel, and called The Ugly.
  • u'Gog:  The trollkin name for the Cor Gritūl.
Ūriad:  The first great nation of Men, built on barbarous principles.
