The written work here will tend to be exercises and attempts at stories that have met the most common type of death -- being shoved aside for a better idea, or being tossed out as a bad idea to begin with. Nevertheless, I've been told that some of these things shouldn't be lost, and so I'm presenting them here as a sort of "taste" of the Leaves of Autumn project. I'll even post reviews and comments, if anyone is willing to even bother with writing such things. What's New November 2, 2005

Darkness Comes the Hunter I don't recall precisely when I wrote this, though I think it may have been sometime in 1995 or 1996, and I definitely don't recall where I was going with it! The character of Hunter was the first one that I had groomed for this world, and he had always been a rather Conan-esque sort of fellow, pretty much to a fault. That I should have used his name in this story suggests that I may have been trying to reinvent him. That I never followed up on this suggests that I may have failed quite spectacularly. Looking at it now, though, I can see that it was positively maudlin, and really far too gothic (with a small 'g', you may note). Still, here is what I have, in its entirety, for your perusal.
