Cults and Religions |

The Hyperborean World: The Hyperboreans, while engaged in the long climb from barbarism to civilization, worshipped a variety of gods, all based on the forces of nature. But as they evolved culturally, they began to set aside these notions and place more and more stock in the power of magic. In the end, as they began to attain their near ascended status, magic itself became the focus of their worship, though not in a true religious sense. It could be said that the Hyperboreans were godless, but it was also true that they were a most spiritual people. Page pending |
"The gods have
a history, they have a beginning, and they have an end. There are gods
that are dead and forgotten, leaving behind temples that we know of as only
strange monuments in the middle of deserts and jungles, their purposes long
forgotten. All things are ephemeral, oh Son, and you should mark this
well: if the reign of the gods can be counted by the years, then what of
the reign of a man?" Updates November 2, 2005

| The
Lemurian World: The Lemurians evolved socially and culturally
almost from scratch, fitting themselves into a world that had been
torn asunder. As such, they develop religions that were new and
meant to comfort, to promise a better life. Even when they lived
a better life, when they had made their own destiny, they continued to
believe in religions that promoted peace and hope. Page

| The
Muvian World: The Muvians were a primitive people, all in
all, and as such their beliefs were often quite simple, though based
on untold generations of tradition. Nature was the realm of
their mythology, and their gods were thunder, sunlight, water, ocean,
and so forth. With the rise of the shamans, some began to
believe in magic as a god, or those who wielded it as gods on earth.
